I'm curious, does anyone else here have a really bizarre habit of playing old snes/gameboy/nes(sometimes)/ps1/oldPC rpgs for no apparent reason and at varying intervels?

I play FF6 through about once a year and Chrono Trigger probably half as often as that.

I played Pokemon Red on my regular old Game Boy a couple weeks ago but didn't play through it.

I downloaded and played Oregon Trail (the original) a few months ago.

I'm in love with old RPGs, not quite as old as FF1 but FF3 was pretty fun.

I guess I play FF6 every now and then, but I don't really spend that much time playing games these days in general.

I often replay FF4-6 and Chrono Trigger.

Final Fantasy Tactics always seems to addict me once I start a new game.

And you'd think the rpg designers nowadays would learn from this...

Btw, does anyone know if Seiken Densetsu I exists? Secret of Mana (US name) is Seiken Densetsu 2, and the SoM2 is the third one. Legend of mana for the ps1 is number 4. But I've no clue what or if there's a 1. It's a little odd to start a series at 2.

The original Seiken Densetsu was like Final Fantasy Adventures or something, I'm not sure and I don't feel like looking.

You're correct on that one, KA. It's being remade under the title "Sword of Mana" and it will be a GBA exclusive. It's coming out this December.

I just picked up FF Origins, so I'm playing through FF1, and I'll probably tackle FF2 a few months down the line. There are a ton of other games coming out this winter that I'll be spending the majority of my free time with.

Suikoden 3 sucked, but I forgot to mention that I play through part 2 at least once per year. Can't get enough of that game.

Secret of Mana has AWESOME music. Same as FF6, FF4, and CT.

I'm so ready for SoM for GC.

Does Chrono Cross count as old? I play it all the time, same with Chrono Trigger and FF6

I've got the actual FF1 cartridge, and I can't stand the game. Never got more than 10 minutes into it because I kept getting my ass kicked.
