D2 Expansion Hardcore

Anybody play hardcore? I found my LoD cd a few days ago, and I am getting back into the game. However, I don't think I can go back to the neverending search for items. I started a zon on HC, but died at like.. 18 thanks to the stupidity of others and my not paying attention.

Anyhow, does anyone have general tips for HC? What type of characters go best in pairs? (I have a friend who is playing with me) What stats/skills for those characters? What general equipment should I go for? Keep in mind that I do not have any items in Hardcore other than a tome of town portal and some potions (virtually).

No play with friends in private games and not in public games it's too dangerous.
lvl <10 - act 1
lvl >10 - sewers
lvl > 20 - bloodys (norm)

lvl >30 - sewers
lvl >40 - bloodys (nm)
lvl >50 - cow (nm)

lvl >60 - sewers
lvl > 70 - bloodys (hell)
lvl 85-99 - cows (hell)

This was the way i played on HC

i got a lvl 90 barb on useast hardcore

Honestly I think if you go look at the general tips at diabloii.net, it should help you a lot in diablo period, even HC. They probably have a HC help section too. And if your character dies, you can post it in the HC sanctuary for everyone to see him/her and how they died and what caused it.

God HC is dangerous with Bnets volitile nature...I lost a lvl 65 Barb in Hc after a stupid REalm spike...I froze in the middle of hell cows...I was super sad..so i never played again...Now im really thinking about quitting D2 all together matter of fact that sounds like a good thread hmmm....brb

Well I'm done with HC for at least a while. Lost 2 chars around level 20 today with around 50 chips and some mediocre uniques. Anyway, I'm making a drood (NON-HC) since I've never made one before. Any advice? Put it here plz:
