Shaken, not stirred.

A customer had a heart attack two lanes behind me today during work just as I was going on my lunch. She wasn't breathing, they did CPR for 10 minutes. Paramedics came and put a tube down her throat so they could get some oxygen into her, apparently they found a faint pulse. I came back from lunch and watched as they wheeled her out of the store. She didn't look good at all.

Three of the cashiers freaked out. I was one of them.

...Yeah. Still a little freaked out.

Never been around something like that before. I know one time when I came in to work they told me I missed the big action, some guy had a heart attack and pissed the floor. The guy kept complaining about how he had to mop it up ;P.

During basic training, we were getting a safety briefing right before going on this teamwork obstacle course, and one of the guys in my platoon had a seizure right then and his tounge blocked his airway and he died. This was before we had any of the medical training in the first week or so of basic. And the drill sergeants hadn't started the briefing yet, they were off somewhere else on the course having a little pow wow or something.

Yeah. There's a kid at work who will have a seizure and black out occasionally. That's kinda scary, too.

I saw a guy having a seizure at the grocery store once. He fell over and busted his head on some racks. Everyone went to look all so I cut in line and got out of there with some stuff. pwned.

Up at my work over the summer, we had a guy who had a seizure. Lucky one of the other employees is becoming a police officer, and knew what to do.

We used to have a paramedic who was working at Meijer for reasons unknown to me. One day a kid fell out of a cart and hit his head on one of the rods sticking out of the turn-tables at the end of the lanes, and it punctured his eyelid. The guy got kinda pissed because the Team Leaders were handling the kid all wrong.

Fell out of the trolley? Rods? Turntables?!

1. If a kid is in a trolley, either they are strapped into the chair, else they ain't supposed to be in.

2. Rods? Bare rods? Sticking out?! WTF?!

3. Turntables? Can people not direct their own trolleys?

So the guy got pissed? His own fault for not keeping his kid in the trolley right.
