Ketogenic Diet (Keto)

The basic premise of this diet is high fat and protein and almost no carbs. Think Atkins, but less bullshit. I've been doing it for a few days with good results, I can see my body getting leaner. All my carbs come from the meat, cheese and vegetables I eat. It's one of the best ways to put on muscle while in a calorie deficit. I really suggest if you have the willpower that you try it for a week whether you are cutting or bulking.

The name Keto comes from a state known as Ketosis that your body goes into after 3-4 days when it doesn't get a steady supply of carbs. Your body switches from carbs to ketones for energy and essentially begins to burn off your own fat for energy instead of using sugar.
