I just started making a new game in RPG maker, and I'd like to know if you can have sort of a movie in the beggining. Because I can't figure out how.

Here's the script.

black screen, slowly fades in,
Person lying on ground, wakes up
Tai: Wow that dog spit we dumped on her really worked!
Person who was sleeping: What!?
tai: *laughing* Come on, we're moving into town soon, so go get your stuff.
Person who was sleeping: ok.

Then you pick your name *It's supposed to be Arisa, can you have an autoset?*

You can either do it as an .avi file and use Atnas' script in an earlier thread to put it in, or do it far easier by just using normal events/event that starts automatically.

And to change the Hero's name is the "Change hero name" event - the default is whatever the Hero is named as in the database.

You could just go to the database and rename the heroes...

And no offense to people that are new to RM and stuff, but why do you start posting new threads to answer simple questions? I mean, Bubble_Lady's question to change the name of the hero(ine) could have easily been answered by just looking at the database. Just take the time to read the list of event commands and the database and you could answer your own questions. No offense again.

But then we have nothing to do all day but sit and stare at an empty forum.

If that happens, then we'd have to start posting our own questions like "how doez i open rgpm4k3r//!one". That'd be no fun.
