Great Adventure
Reply

I went to Great Adventure today and it was amazing. I rode Kingda Ka and it is by far the best coaster i have ever been on, and probably will ever be on. 0-128 in less then 4 secs, its insane. Also, Superman, Nitro and this new ride El Toro were sweet, along with the classics, Medusa, the batman and chillers, etc.

Side story- Taking Back Sunday is preforming there on Thursday- Saturday and cut the line of Kingda Ka in front of me. I got to talk to them for a bit, while waiting for the ride, and they are mad chill. They even gave me a free pass to their show, but i cant go. Oh well.

So in all, has anybody been there and what do u think of it?

I'm going to Michigans Adventure on July 15th. I think perhaps I'll ride Shivering Timbers 10 or 20 times...

...w0000!

In other news, no. I've never been there.

Kingda Ka is the world's fastest and tallest coaster. Great Adventure, FTW.

Which is pretty much exactly the same as top thrill dragster when it comes to layout. They just made it a bit taller and added a camel back. I already rode TTD. Next one I go for will be the first coaster to break 500 feet. I think that will be my limit.

Does that coaster have a corkscrew when it goes up and down?

Yeah.

It also slows down at the very top. It sometimes even stops and falls backwards. I wanted that to happen to but didn't One Group of peopel actually got stuck at the top. Again, wish it was me

I think I'd be deathly afraid of getting stuck at the top of a 420 foot high roller coaster....

Eeh, great scenic view? I think it'd be rather cool. I'd hate to get stuck upside down...
