Is anyone up for UT / UT2004?

I haven't played either of the two games listed above in quite some time, but I'm in the mood to. Does anyone else happen to have the games? If you do, what's your geographical location? (Useful to determine ping )

I think I have 2004 someplace (I know I have 2003 someplace), and the original who knows where (actually, I have a pretty good idea but havn't touched it in quite some time). I live in Texas.

Yeah, the ping will be all right with some luck. I'll reinstall the game(s) if you guys are up for a couple of matches.

The gametypes don't really matter that greatly in my opinion, although I guess DM and CTF are my favorites. The co-op "Alien Swarm" mod is rather fun as well.

Okay, how about some UT2004 later on today? I'll start off with some DM and CTF, and we'll see how well that goes. I have 10 mbps upstream, but since I'm in Sweden, there's a chance you guys will get not-so-good latency. We'll see, I guess. I'm thinking around 6 pm EST and later.

why not instead of ut04 we do cs. i mean ut04 has more but it gets kinda borring, and to me the more realistic a game is the funner and more into you can get.

or we could do both? idk

I tried some invasion games with WW which worked fine at first, around 200 ping for him. Sometime into it, perhaps when we changed game types, his ping skyrocketed to around 700-800? Weird. Anyway, a few more people to play with wouldn't hurt.

Everyone should post their available times so we can perhaps start arranging some weekend games. In my case, I'm usually only available during the weekends.

Fri: 1 pm - 6 pm EST
Sat: Pretty much all day
Sun: 8 am - 2 pm EST

That is not to promise I can always play games at these times either, sometimes I'm busy with art-related work, but they're my best bet. Yes, CS works too if enough people have it.

Are you an idiot? Last I knew you couldnt shoot a 50 cal rifle while jumping... CS is NOT realistic. UT2K4 is more realistic =/

Doesnt anyone have the original UT? It's so much better than 2k4.

What's the kickback like on them?

And if you did try and fire whilst jumping then you wouldn't be very accurate, now, would you?
