Bellevue, Wa. (August 29, 2005) - ArenaNet®, creators of the #1 selling competitive online roleplaying game, Guild Wars®, announces the release of the much-anticipated Guild Wars update: Sorrow’s Furnace. To be released on September 7, 2005, the update will be available free to all Guild Wars account holders and will stream to them live at game log-in.

Sorrow's Furnace offers two large, explorable regions: Grenth's Footprint and Sorrow's Furnace. These regions will provide exciting new high-level content to Guild Wars players, and will offer new quests, new monsters, new items, and more. For characters who have completed their ascension in Guild Wars, these areas will provide new opportunities for exploration and reward.
So everyone who plays from Zelaron, hurry and get your rp characters to acension so we can group together.

I managed it a couple of days ago...

Talking about new areas, have you found the Ice Tooth Caves yet? They're somewhere above Frost Gate. A couple of my Guild Officers and I trekked there yesterday and proclaimed it our temporary Guild Hall until we get the last few thousand to buy our own.

The only problem is, if we all want to go exploring together we'll have to meet in the International Districts.

I stopped playing a while ago, I'll probably go and check those when they're there. Is there any information on where those areas will be on the world map? The screenshots look pretty tight.

Sorrows Furnace today!

Shall we all go exploring in a group at the weekend? A Zelaron get together type thingy.

Anyone been into the new areas yet?

Edit:
Bastards don't realse it until 8pm CT. That's just mean... ...they say they are gonna release it on the 7th of September yet we (England etc.) don't get it until the 8th.

Ok I made it to the Deldrimor Warcamp so far, and also I noticed alot of changes, like no more refund points, and increased cost to buy skills(1plat) and also new Green weapons which have super good stats. You can also buy Superior salvage and id kits which have 100 charges each now.
