Items dissapearing in xfer?

I was in a game for like 2 hours and i didn't move.. a friend was xfering and i was just talking.. and he dropped this charms when he first got in.. they were 5 resist scs with 10 life or something like that.. he had 3 of them.. and i was in the game just talking to him and other people.. and he was going through his mules and stuff.. and he was in the game with his assassin.. and the charms were still on the ground.. and my internet messed up.. and when i got back on he said that he only got one of the charms and left.. and the game was open long so it stayed open after my internet messed up and he left.. and he got one of the charms.. but he said the other 2 were gone.. can items just dissapear if you dont' touch them or something? i thought this happened to my 2000 def kraken shell stone before.. and now it happened to his charms.. and he says i took them.. but i didn't.. and he blocked me and deleted me from his list for this stupid shit.. lol ionno what to do or say.. i offered him my charms also.. and he said he doesn't want my shit.. well.. can items dissapear after being on the floor untouched for a certain amount of time? and what should i say to him?

Yes, items can disspear being on the floor untouched, I think the period is around 10 minute? Someone might need to correct me on the timing.
