Dual problems

Well, I'm dual booting WinXP and Win98 for various reasons, but RM2K is giving me problems in both of them.

While starting a RM2K game in XP, I get an error message which tells me "wrong file vehicle" or something similar. A friend was trying it in XP as well, and he got an error message about the program being 16-bit, which is pretty obvious.

In Win98, the sound is really messed up when I start the RM2K "editor" itself, or just a game made with it. It sounds really noisy, and I can't hear any in-game music/sounds at all, just some radio voice.

Strange, it works perfectly for me in XP... try setting the compatibility mode for rpg2000.exe to Windows 95. It works there too. You can set the compatibilty in XP through the properties menu...
