Zelda: The Wind Waker 2nd Time Through
Reply

I beat Wind Waker last week sometime, and was about to start it over again. They have a new game quest log color and symbol from the first one, so they kind of coerced me into doing it..

I just want to know if there is anyone that played the game and know if there are any differences in the second time through over the first. As of right now, I can see the costume is different than before, but nothing else. I'm guessing it will just be randomized, and harder, but I'm not sure.

Any positive answers?

You also get the Deluxe Pictobox, meaning that you can get the complete miniature set in one shot. In addition, all Hylian text (meaning all of Valoo's dialogue, Lord Jabun's dialogue and some of the Deku Tree's dialogue) is translated into english. There might be a few more changes, but I can't remember what they are.

If I remember correctly, some people do react differently to your shrimp shirt than your green tunic. I think one of the pirates goes something like "That shirt makes me hungry!" It's been a while though..

Heh, interesting guys. So there is no actual difficulty or map generation differences? If that's the case, I think that 1 time through is plenty for me.

Nope. I wish there was a difficulty change 2nd time through because it was too easy the first.

I agree with that. I don't think I died once actually. It was pretty easy, but I wish there were more battles like the last battle against Ganondorf. I like trying to dodge, counter, and swing away at a boss enemy that mixed it up. That was fun as hell.

That was my only complaint with the game. The combat difficulty was a little too lenient. However, try making it through that 50-level dungeon of horror without using any potions and you'll find the difficulty you're looking for.

And H-K, your insight is as retarded and useless as ever. Why don't you just continue sticking carrots up your ass and leave the witty one-liners to those who know how to use them, capische?

Well, the 50 stage level wasn't bad at all, because they gave you 3 or so breaks where the pots dropped hearts to recharge Link before the next onslaught of numerous, more difficult levels.

Other than on the 3rd monster Ganon throws at you before the final bout, nothing gave me any real trouble beating.

Well, like I said above, don't use any potions, don't use those hearts. Hell, don't use any potions throughout the entire game and the difficulty curve ramps up quite nicely.

Eh, if I had to heart to play through the game again, I would, but I have too much on my plate at the moment. I've recently gotten DMC 1 and 2, Zelda Four Swords, and because of you, I'm playing BO2 limitedly, and have recently purchased Soul Reaver 1 and 2 as well as Defiance. They better be good!

The LoK games are fantastic. As I've said numerous times, Defiance is certainly the best of the bunch, but both of the SR games are awesome as well.
