I'm starting this thread manly for the Admins. I'm just curious to know what Zelaron has planned for the near future, and I'm sure everyone else is curious to know also. I understand Vb3 is out now and your working on updating the forums theme to the new software. So I'm not expecting anything dramatic to happen till after the upgrade.

Once that is finished and all bugs are worked out, do you plan to maybe have a Zelaron Portal. With personal game reviews, screen shots, free demos, maybe a monthly newsletter? Maybe somehow having a contest to win something, like a free game, or a yearly subscribed magazine. Just something I was thinking about.

If you need a fully dedicated worker to help out in someway, I could do a lot. Such as playing and writing updated reviews, even supplying some free stuff for members, for example I could personally buy an online game, or a year subscription and we could start a contest to give it away to the winner or whatnot.

I think it will be good for us members to maybe know a hint on what's going on behind the scenes. It would keep a lot of us more active. Any members have any ideas what would help zelaron out? What would you like to see on zelaron? be serious and say what you think will help out zelaron. I'm willing to provide some excellent resources. So what do you think?

I want to get a fucking great portal, like Allrpg.com's one. The forums are fine as they are, though.

Zelaron, Grow's every day I don't think they have to update it for awhile unless people start leaving.

Did I hear the words "free" and "demos" used right next to each other?

Ahh, that I did.

Yes, I would have to agree lol. Takes a little more hard work and dedication to become anywhere as close as they are. But, I never said it couldn't be done.

This is where I would have to disagree with you man, sorry but you don't update a site when hits leave. You updated it no matter what so more hits/member come. Your right zelaron also does grow everyday, but as big as you may think they are. Don't get me wrong zelaron is BIG, but its not as active as it should be. Sometimes i even wonder what the cookie delay is set too

Yes, you did Jizmo. I have the resources and the extra cash to dish out if it will help zelaron be more active and grow. I just need to be convinced it will be worth the dishing out. If it could be appreciated....

Well, there is that portal stuff that I had started working on a while back, but I have been spreading myself too thin recently. Oddly enough, if I could make the time, now would be an ideal time to work on that if I wasn't already working on the vB3 stuff...
The problem is that when I started programming proffessionally, programming suddenly became work. The occational simple hack is good because I typically spend a max of two days on it and I see it as a sort of diversion. Especially if a project gets to a week scale, I quickly lose interest in actually working on it, which is what happened to the portal. Interestingly, I can spend insane amounts of times on computer art and it not feel like work, I guess because I don't do it for a living...

lol, dude I hear you man. At my site I will think of a really good feature to add, I'll start to work on the feature on my Localhost, and after about 2 days, I get very bored and start something else lol So I know the feeling entirely man. I wish I could help in some why =\ But it's hard to interact with 2 peoples coding and skills, plus your skills overtake mine any day. lol. But I've been doing a lot of reading lately and I'm starting the chapter on MYSql, which IMO is a lot =\. I hope we can get some action going around here, I would love to help in anyway, just give me a ring. I don't Mind.
