Half Life Movie

According to a story in today's Variety, Valve has been actively talking with Hollywood studios about a Half-Life feature movie project. The new movie talks are timed to follow up on all the attention Half-Life 2 received at E3 2003, and Valve's Doug Lombardi is quoted as saying that Valve is looking to for a project that would extend the elements of the game and broaden the franchise's audience. The talks are at an early stage and no details are available. We'll have more on this story as it develops.

Most of the movie which based of a game wasn't that good that's the reason why i don't want it.

now a few good movies that would be interesting would be a starcraft movie (based off the game) or a Diablo 2 movie (Based off the books).

Actually it was cool cause the Marines were trying to kill him at the same time the monsters were trying to kill him, and there was sorta a story but they don't have to go EXACTLY like the game.

I hope they do it that way... or maybe even make the movie following the story of the first game. It could work.

When I first played Zelda, I was hoping to god that they would make a Zelda: Ocarina of Time movie.

Well now that I think about it, did anybody see the mortal kombat movies? They were kinda cool for the 11-12 year old I was. And its cool to see how all the characters would look and such. But those movies sucked more ass than a guy who suxs a lot of ass!

HL Movie... sounds pretty retarded, I hate gun movies Except "The Matrix". I mean, in the movies 20 bad guys can't hit one guy, but this one guy can nail em like nothing. Don't forget the unlimited Clip Ammo, and bullets hitting the ground when the person is aiming pretty high. Movies like Star Wars are good since the people with guns don't reall miss, but the victims block it.

I think this would be a pretty good idea. People usually like seeing shit get shot to hell and blown up, much like in the Resident Evil movie. I say if RE can make it in the movies, HL will have no trouble.

dont know what to think of it, i want to be excited but then i think of the history of games becoming movies, my excitement drops thinking this will become a movie that isnt worth carrying the name half-life
