Dont take this as American bashing, but I thought this was really funny

This is the transcript of a radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October, 1995. Radio conversation released by the Chief of Naval Operations 10-10-95.

Americans: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the North to avoid a Collision.

Canadians: Recommend you divert YOUR course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.

Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.

Canadians: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.

Americans: This is the aircraft carrier USS Lincoln, the second largest ship in the United States' Atlantic fleet. We are accompanied by three destroyers, three cruisers and numerous support vessels. I demand that YOU change your course 15 degrees north, that's one five degrees north, or countermeasures will be undertaken to ensure the safety of this ship.

Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call.

Seen it before, but still funny.
How could the Americans of been so stupid? Did they actually think the Canadians had any navy? They should of known better!

Maybe tonight we'll fly so far away... We'll be lost before the dawn...

The Canadian navy? Is that when all the lakes freeze and they all put flags on 1976 Chevy Novas and go tear assing around drunk on the ice?

We're the most powerful nation in the world....there is no denying that. Whimpering out against north korea...no. If there was a threat to us we would obliterate north korea. Iraq is not some weak-ass-pathetic millitary either. They are pretty powerful, and we don't know what they are hiding. I don't think we would have any problem going against north korea if we were made to.

My friends and I are so like that. When we play UO, we blow up anybody that pisses us off. Well with white dragon scale armor and a massive reaping 7 foot death sword, who wouldn't you blow up? Hey man its a game. And we enjoy ruining other ppls games.

Mmm...butt-rubbin....Wait....wtf am I doing? God I am useless.
