Post question at basketball

me and a friend recently had a discussion about a factor in practicing basketball. He said if you used a 12 foot court to practice ur shot quality would increase on 10 feet. I on the other hand say it would decrease. Please vote about which is correct.

It wouldnt not change. Youd have to practice at the 10 foot line to get as good as you did at the 12 foot line. I dont see how pracitcing at one could make u better at another especially since they are 2 feet apart.

Yes... but I assume he is talking short term... not days and days of practicing... There are also many many many different shooting styles. I shoot high, and over everyone. So a 12 foot basket wouldn't affect me...

It would affect you negatively. After you practice for awhile your muscle's have a sort of "memory". If you were to keep changing the height, it wouldn't help in any sort of way.

Ask Larry Bird if he ever shot any of his free throws on a 12 foot rim.
