With my current diagnosis I have been in talks with psychiatrists in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas and they say I shouldn't have a problem getting a card once I establish residency there next month. I am looking to use it therapeutically, so I'll be able to let you know what strains have what sorts of effects medically.
