Anyone remember when 2000 was gonna be armageddon? Ah, those were the days... computers were supposed to completely melt down and stop... life was supposed to end, and we were all doomed...

Somehow, I feel this is going to end up the same...

BUT! Since this is theoretical... I think it will be rather difficult to start over. I mean, who here really has the know-how to live off the land? If you think about how much we rely on other people operating everything... it's pretty trippy... Clean water, we'd have to make it. Food, we'd have to grow it, and hope we have enough reserves to last at least however long so that any crops you plant could develop and produce something edible. Meat will obviously be the most difficult because not many people know how to butcher an animal and save the 'clean' parts. I think I would have an honest-to-god hell of a time readjusting to the new world. But then again, so did the Romans when their empire fell into the Dark Ages...

I dunno if it's just me, but I see many similarities between America and ancient Rome...

Well, you carry a UB-21 Schnauzer with an OPS Silencer, that's KGB, You prefer an 18-K over an AK, Your surveillance technique is NSA, Your ID is CIA, you recieved your PHD at NYU, traded in your GTO for a BMW, you listen to CD's by REM and STP, and you'd like to see JFK in his BVDs getting down with OPP and you probably put the toilet paper back on the roll with the paper on the inside...
