And my delight? Played third Trumpet at band tonight. I'm usually principal, but I forced one of the seconds onto first, left the other second on second, and played third. It was such a breath of fresh air! And the tunes we played sounded better for it. Well, could have been because I haven't heard/played them for so long, but I do think that some of it was down to having a strong third part, where normally we have none or a very weak part.
