Because he added the pictures to an old post. We wouldn't know they were there until someone else posted, and then I'd have a moment of panic, wondering if I'd been lax and missed someone's photos - so I'd go checking, and waste ten minutes of my life realising that I hadn't uploaded them yet.

Then again, he could have posted them in a new post.
