when I lived in Austin I used to help the "homeless"(I know ppl that go beg on the corners everyday casue it makes more money than working a Normal job its sad really) all the time... back here in dallas the would as soon stab you and take what you don't give them than be appreciative of what you do... I got robbed of my Rent money about a year and a half ago cause I was walking through a suburbe of the DFW area and someone asked me for some change. I gave them like 20$ and told them that was all I could spare. He immediatly insulted me saying he saw more money in my wallet I was just being greedy cause I was blessed with a better life. When I explaind that it was my rent money and I was sorry there was nothing more I could do he pulled a knife on me told me to hand over my wallet and spend the next month begging for money on the streets to pay my rent like he has to to eat. He got away with 670$ roughly and the cops "never found him" I stoped giveing hand outs at that point
