I started Tuesday, I was going to post about it earlier but damn i was swamped with football and work and now I finally have some time to myself after football camp this morning. (won a medal for best overall fresh/soph in my KC area in the 201-225 weight division!)

Anyways.

I put my 2 weeks into BK after getting a job at a nursing home, yes for the elderly(..residents..).

It's called New Mark Care Center, and no i don't scrub old ladies in a bathtub. I work in the kitchen, aka Dietary Department. My position is a Dietary Aide, and that's basically what i do, aide. I help out around the kitchen, generally just washing dishes most of the time. I help serve the old people their food(there are around 200). At the end of the day I go down to one of our units(unit 1) with a big steam table and some scoopers and give the nurses their food to bring to the residents.

I collect drink-carts, and bus carts(trash carts), and the Hyboys(basically big rolley-carts that we wheel around the place that carries trays with their food).

I get paid 7.80 an hour and for a 15 year old that's pretty exciting. I'm on something called PRN, atleast I think thats what it's called. They work me when they need me(my moms the assistant dietary director & makes the schedule), and if they put me on the schedule a day that I don't want to work, i can flat-out refuse to work it. (that's PRN), BUT, i dont get a raise. (7.80 is fine until I find some serious labor-work to do where im making 9 ish).

Generally 3 days a week, 48 hours a pay period, 360$ a paycheck. At 15 this is gravy.

Thought I would clear up on the whole 'burger boy' thing, because that's kinda annoying to hear.
