Isometric Movement

Heya. Started playing Animal Crossing again, and I'm going to try something similar to it through RM2k.

I've tried this before, but with few results. This time I'm using an isometric view (as well as chipsets and charsets) - except I've run into a snag.

Movement will be designated left-up, left-down, right-up, and right-down (they're all in move event). I can't seem to get these to work, however. If I put it into a Parallel Process event, it keeps moving them in that direction over and over.

I'm a little rusty (from being away so long), but I'd think this would work...Do I need to set up a few Common Events, move onto Rm2k3, or what?
