I've never done it, so I can't really comment.

It might be a sick thing to say, but I can kind of understand the fascination all these psycho's have with killing something just to watch it die.

I'd quite happily sit down and dissect a rat (though I can't now I've dropped Biology ) or, failing that, anything - whether it be living, mechanical, electronical. Just to see how it's put together.
