There are grown couples that can't afford a kid that have protected sex and there's no problem with that, there shouldn't be a problem with them doing the same thing at 17. If they are being safe, that's the best they can do besides not doing anything at all and that's all that can be expected of them. Once me and Nikki get our own place in a couple of months, I can assure you that we aren't going to wait until we are financially able to take care of a kid before we have sex.
