So, he'd have to dodge his own bullets and other Force attacks.


Get over yourselves. Palpatine is the Emperor. He got there for being a genius and a powerful Force user. He's no fool. Before the battle even began, he'd probably have Dante in some compromising situation that gave himself the advantage.
