We call them discos still...  ...
I haven't been to a disco for a few years...but I remember last time I went to one, there wasn't a disco ball or coloured floor...but the DJ did have lots opf flashing lights etc. on his little DJ booth thingy...
Though there are places that do discos like the 70's ones...and if I go to the local ice rink on Saturday nights then I can join in the disco...with proper disco ball!!!
