Well Draco2003 I just meant that is was a secluded colosseum fight were there is nothing surrounding them, just one on one, mano e mano battle between the two. Also I think that just because Ganondorf and Bowser are in Super Smash Bros. Mellee that doesn't mean you can't make the compete in a forum battle. Super Smash Bros. Mellee has to be the absolute worst comparison for Nintendo characters ever.
One you could be someone like Samus Aran with Mr. Game & Watch or the Ice Climbers. Pit them from their retrospective games though and the outcome would clearly be favored for Samus Aran, as they can't compete with her, not even Nintendo's famed mascot Mario could compete with Samus. Then you have moves in there that doesn't even do what it does in their retrospective games. Take Jigglypuff for example. Rest is a move in Pokemon that heals a Pokemone completely and puts them to rest, but in SSMB: Mellee it is used as an attack, and you could even knock Giga Bowser off the screen with two or three attacks of it! Now that is pretty bad. What is worse is that Pichu, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff can all defeat Mewtwo in Super Smash Bros. Mellee if you wanted to, but that would never happen in their retrospective games. See what I am beginning to say now, it is just a bad reference.
Continuing on, Necromancer I would say that Bowser is a very determined individual, but intelligence is something he clearly lacks. Peach can outsmart him in Paper Mario, and she believed for a moment in Super Mario Sunshine that Baby Bowser was her kid!! He also thought that he was talking to Peach in Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door, when all it was, was a picture of her! How dense can he be? Don't get me wrong I love the character Bowser, he is a great comic-relief villain, but he is an idiot who tries to bully people around with his brute strength.
Another factor that makes Bowser look bad is that he is almost always being showed up by other villains. Smithy kicked Bowser out of his own castle. Cackletta possessed him, took seven of his children under her power, and even his greatest magikoopa Kamek away from him. Then you got Grodus and the Shadow Queen from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door who show him up once again. Waluigi kicked his ass in Mario Party 3, and the guy runs around teaming up with the good guys, wishing them happy birthdays, has resorted to crying and you could go on and on.
Now does this sound like someone who is ready to take on Ganondorf. A guy who laughed at the fact that there was little chance of his survival and much less a chance of victory in the Wind Waker. But did he cry? No. Does he let other villains overthrow him? No.
Now that was just going through on things that resembles a little bit about their character. Still how do they match up in durability.
Bowser: In Super Mario Bros. he can be hurt by fire or falling in a pit of lava.
Would this hurt Ganondorf?
NO! Use Bombos, the Fire Rod, The Magic Rod/Book of Magic, Bombs, Fire Arrows, Ember Seeds, and so on and so forth and it is clear that Ganondorf is immune to fire/heat based attacks.
I could go on and on and on, but Bowser really isn't a match for Ganondorf. If I need to go into more detail I will, but I think anyone would realize after awhile that as great as a character as Bowser is, he is not a fighter that could match up to Ganondorf's might not on his best day, and there are many other Nintendo villains that Bowser could not match up to.
