In private clans and leagues where certain rules are set down then this becomes relevant. Then again you build your character with those rules in mind and know that everyone you face is holding to those same rules.

In an open public duel I am a believer in "GM" but good manners to me is not my skills or gear but my attitude. I dont take gold, I dont nk, taunt or spam or instigate things really either...I behave with good manners.

If people want to max a skill they have to accept the trade off of power for lack of adaptation. You're incredibly effective...unless someone can exploit your weakness. Its the same in any game or sport...or business...or aspect of life. The entire point between hybrids and the like is you have a secondary power to make people think and play mind games with. A V/t's FoH is nowhere near as tough as a full blown templar's would be...the gear is different, the skill points and even attributes are different. However the V/t as a hybrid has the addition of an effective range of melee physical attacks as a trade off in case someone is absorbing their lightning.

So when the lightning trapsassin in a public dual complains when you're using a lightsabre/blackhorns/wisps/tgods ask them why they only took lightning sentry and why didnt they take any martial arts or a different kind of trap as well.

When you use that holy freeze or slow target ask them why they didnt stack more IAS or run walk. The point of diablo 2 is that its extremely difficult to prepare for every outcome and still be really effective. If you make an all around character you obviously wont be as effective as a specialist...but then again you won't be as frustrated by seeing a pack of cold immunes either.

Private games can do whatever they want. In a public game I say anything goes and play the game the way it was meant to be played. Just be polite and have fun.
