Guild Wars is having a Free 'World Preview' event starting 10/29/04. This game will not be having a normal 'Beta' process; instead, there will be many of these preview events (about once a month, from what I read).

This game is by the original Diablo II team, for those interested. Also, this game is not quite a MMORPG, and the best part is, there's NO monthly fee.
