It's because we attacked a country with whom they were selling goods to at high prices against UN Sactions. They were selling food, military supplies, and other goods to Iraq illegally. There have been news reporters on live TV that have been standing near iraqi ammo dumps who have seen the France stamp on the boxes. That is why the UN wasn't big. Russia, Germany, and France are big players, thus having big money invested in Iraq, and they knew that a US-UK dominated Iraq would cut back their cash flow.
