Anyways. I'm guessing its some sort of a Memory Problem. (Unknowing of the RAM requirements for WinXP and Linux, I can't make any conclusions) But It looks like a Video card problem. If you could give some more of your computer information.

I'd recommend checking your connections , maybe just wiggle it, check to see if its fitted in snugly. And does the problem occur as soon as the computer starts up? Etc, give some more info.
