PRANKSTER Daniel O’Dee put his body up for sale on auction website eBay — and got a £2,000 bid from a CANNIBAL.

Daniel, 22, posted the joke advert after a drunken dare.

But he was stunned when a German calling himself “Donnie, the Hanover Cannibal” got in touch seeking a “fresh corpse”.

The bidder told how he had a contact in Nottingham who could arrange transport.

He also revealed eBay is used to buy bodies despite a ban by the internet site.

Chemistry graduate Daniel’s ad read: “Human corpse for sale. Money up front and you get the body after I die.” Bosses at eBay quickly removed the ad.

But it had already been spotted by Donnie.

His first message read: “Can you confirm if you are selling a human corpse.”

Daniel replied he had put his body up for sale as a joke. But then Donnie emailed again saying: “I’m disappointed that it was your own body you were selling as I want one as soon as possible.

“If you have any other access to a fresh corpse I would be interested. I guarantee that it will be more than a fair price.”

He added: “There is a syndicate of eBay users who help fund this enterprise.”

Days later, Daniel received another email — this time a death threat.

Daniel, of Salford, Greater Manchester, said: “I’m trying to put it out of my mind. It’s safe to say I won’t be visiting Germany.”

Cannibal Armin Meiwes was jailed in Germany in February after eating parts of a man fried with garlic.
