Ok, before you try this:

Please use common sense, (eg dont use pickit that can screw u over, this is solo anyway, dont try this in HC.. u still can die..) have fun, and loot some uber items.

a act2 merc is NESSARY! and must use this configuration
a GOOD tome reaper (or whatever its called, unique elite cryptic axe)
Upgraded Shaftstop
Upgraded vamp gaze

My skills:
Max'd fireball/firebolt/metor/fire mast, teleport, static.

Using wizard spike, teleport down to durance of hate level 3, if you think wisps are going to b a problem, join a different game. Once ur on level 3, clear the baal minion area and the area just before that. Using your merc as a meat shield, metor should own everyone except the first wave (in which your merc can easily dispatch). Make sure the help your merc out by static field. Your merc SHOULD be able to kill fire immunes 1 by 1 (except minions of destruction). This should get you to minions of destruction. Now here, you must lead them out of the area - teleport and use the merc as bait. Once u get this part done, comes the easy part - killing baal himself. The merc should b able to take most hits, and you can just easily cast metor from far away so you dont get hit from baal's mana hit attack. Remeber to use static!!

Anyway, have fun with this. I've died a few times like this but killed baal 1000x the times I died.
