The quality stones book is for if your GM miner only if he wants to dig up stones (that's used for making stone furniture, not for digging sand). The first book you need to buy and get your GM Miner to read is the one about Mining for Quality Sand. After that, you need to have your GM Alchemist read the book about Glassblowing with Sand.
