Some words of advice if you're serious about drawing, and take these seriously.

If you want to improve, YOUR STUFF SUCKS, tell yourself that constantly. You will either get better, or stop drawing.

Second is to learn to assemble a drawing like a machine. Use parts and shapes to build something up, then shave it off, and reconstruct it from guidelines they point out.

Btw, mouse doesnt suck one bit, just takes longer to get used to. I know someone who can do great drawings off of a laptop touchpad for cryin outloud lol.
