This would explain his association with Chupon/Typhon - Orthros was one of the sons of Typhon in Greek mythology. Actually, there's an interesting story. Apparently, one of the designers had a purple plushie octopus he called Orthros that he kept in the office. Somehow, it ended up in the game.
