For post processing work, photoshop is definately king. PSP and the like are good, but not much competition for Photoshop.

As for 3D, so many cool tools, Lightwave & XSI are my weapons of choice.

Just out of interest, Newtek have a free version of LW called the discovery addition. You can download it from their website.
