Great author? Satanist? You decide! Actually, I haven't read his series "His Dark Materials" yet, but I heard they were great. It is a "childrens series" but eventually they get into some deep religous stuff. I think he thinks since religion is an establishment, it is evil. He says all establishments are a form of control or something like that. But he says there is a God, but he is with the establishment. Anyways, just read it so we can talk . The books are (I think)

1) The Golden Compass
2) The Subtle Knife
3) The Amber Spyglass (I heard that in this one mass sketchy shit happens)

Anybody recomend the series?
