Anyhow, a friend bought it yesterday, and it was tagged $49.99, but when he checked out, it rang up as $34.99 (this is at Hastings). Also, there is no cd-check with the newest patch, and games do not check to see if a cd-key is in use already.

Why would a company produce a patch that disables the cd-check?

What is it they say about silence being golden?
