Well, a galvanic cell, one of the most basic components in a battery, is not that extremely easy to describe. It generally has two different types of ions and an ion bridge to connect them and generate energy in some way. Of course, my simple animation doesn't show the actual ion bridge, it just has two fluids and a similar shape to a galvanic cell.
