Hacked Items and Diablo II - Prophet
Blizzard issued a statement this morning addressing the use of hacked items by Diablo II players on Battle.net. The short story is that they are not pleased. The long version is below:
We are aware that some Diablo II players are equipping their characters with hacked items. These items are unfairly enhancing their characters, which in turn is giving them an unfair advantage over players who are playing fairly. This problem has been made a high priority and will be resolved. In the meantime, please do not use or trade these items. We will continue to keep you informed as we get closer to implementing a solution. Please note that Blizzard Entertainment continues to maintain an extremely aggressive policy against the use of hacks and cheats in our games. Using a hack or cheat while playing a Blizzard game online can result in permanent removal from Battle.net.
As always, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. If you would like to report additional instances of hacking or cheating, please contact us at [email protected] mailto: [email protected]. Thank you again for your continued support.
