The game starts in a world very much like our own (with buses, phones and all)

You play a young boy named Ness who is visited one night by a talking bee (?) from the future and things basically go to hell from there.

The game's so open-ended and has so many sidequests for an SNES RPG that it's amazing they fit it on one cartridge.
