I'm needing to calculate the distance between two points in a 2d space, but I never took Trigonometry or Calculus.

What's the formula?

Well, no. I only got to Trig in grade school, and subsequently stopped caring.

Math beyond Algebra is irrelevant to me. My logical reasoning tells me that I need not to know any more damn formulas.

Having at least a basic understanding of calculus is beneficial, even if you never memorize a formula. Calculus isn't even hard if you keep things simple.
