Blizzard trademarks "Cataclysm"
On Jun 30, Blizzard trademarked the word "Cataclysm."
What does it mean? Below is taken from Wowwiki: "The Great Sundering, also known as simply the Sundering or the Cataclysm,WRPG 185, 211 was a world event which reshaped AzerothWar of the Ancients. This event was triggered due to the Well of Eternity being destroyed. approximately 10,000 years ago at the end of the Prior to the Sundering, there was only one continent on Azeroth, referred to as Kalimdor. In the catastrophic explosion, eighty percent of the land mass was destroyed,W3Man #? leaving behind the major continents and scattered islands that are known today: Northrend, Kezan, the Eastern Kingdoms, and the remnant still referred to as Kalimdor. The site of the Well of Eternity became a swirling vortex of power known as the Maelstrom." I found out through WoW.com, so read more here. |

Who knows, Bliazzard does like to mess with people I thinks.

More on this expansion business.
Videogamer.com had an interview with WoW game director, and I'll quote some of the interesting parts below: "It's safe to say there will be more expansions for WoW... Whether or not that actually happens a year from when Wrath of the Lich King came out, not likely! But we'll see. We're still trying to get it to the point where we're able to deliver them more quickly than we were before." About the expansion he mentioned, "I don't think it has to be anywhere completely foreign yet... There are parts of Eastern Kingdoms and Azeroth that haven't been filled out yet. Out there in the South Seas there are islands, there's out where the Maelstrom is." *Note: The Cataclysm is an event triggered due to the destruction of the Well of Eternity. The remnant of the Well of Eternity is now known as the Maelstrom. He also mentioned something about the probability of adding new classes, but read about that yourself here. (As as the link above) |
