Operation Repo - LARPers
 

I just happened to see this on TV and was dying laughing so hard I had to find it and post it here. LOL

Weird, I was just showing my friend what Larping was, and then this thread came up haha!

That show is fake as fuck.

Yeah, I looked into it and found out the show is bullshit. What's even more bullshit is it's on "truTV" and in the description on my TV guide it specifically said it's an unscripted reality show.

What tipped me off was some of the shit I saw after I saw this. There was stuff even more absurd than this.

I mean, why would someone even do that? It just doesn't make sense. IT DOESNT EVEN MAKE SENSE.

I watched a few episodes it was on like a few weeks ago and I was blazed out of my mind. The episode took place at a "biker bar" not sure what episode it was. The entire setup was stupid as fuck, the acting looked that of porn stars that are out of work or something. The fight was all scripted looking, if you paid close attention while the fight scene was going on you could see the damn sound/light stage setup behind this apparent biker bar.

And I agree, on the TruTV's description you see that it is an unscripted reality show, BLAH!

And in reality, not only is it scripted, but it's not even REAL. Everyone on the show is an actor, even the "repo men". Even the shit that they claim is "re-enactment" can't really be, because repo people can't actually get physical with people who they are repoing from. The Operation Repo wikipedia page explains it all pretty well.

AH yes, but still. I was hoping for a real Repo show, that would be fun to watch.

I approach it the same way I do Reno 911. Just not as funny. Though the LARPers were hilarious.

The difference for me is that Reno 911 is CLEARLY fake, and they don't attempt to make you think otherwise. Had I not done some research, I would never have known Operation Repo was fake.

TruTV - It's not reality. IT'S ACTUALITY.
