Math Theory/Discussion Forum?

I know I just mentioned this in a previous thread but I've known of people asking for help on their homework and shit here, and I know we've got a lot of intelligent mathmateers! (No, not math maters.)

We've got a science forum so why not a math one?

We could discuss Math theory, maybe have sub sections for Algebra/Calculus, and hell maybe even a Homework Help section?

Just an idea!

Thoughts?

Give me an icon and I'll give you the math forum.

+ just a lot bigger and with some meaning, or squeeze PEMDAS into there somewhere.

I'd say just change the Science forum to the Science and Math forum. No need to have them separate.

Ultimately, I think they should be separate; however, I agree with you for the time being because the low level of activity in the Science and Technology forum doesn't really merit that. I have renamed the "Science and Technology" forum "Science and Mathematics".

If anything, they should be subforums of one main forum. I'd say break all of the sciences and mathematics up into subforums if we ever have enough activity to support them.

-Spector- 2008-11-14 07:48 PM

What would the main forum be though? Physics or something?

Empirical Arts? I dunno.

That title turns me on.

It would be nice to have a HW help section. Sometimes I would like some help but there isn't anywhere to really put a HW help request.
