Phobia

What is yours? If you have one. And what happens when you encounter it?

Mine is shots. I hate them. Just today, I got vaccinations and almost blacked out. Kinda embarrassing...... oh well.

I don't think phobia means what you think phobia means.

jamer123 2008-10-24 05:04 PM

I don't know what it's called but yeah.

Asamin 2008-10-24 05:31 PM

And yet you know what I meant. So it is all good.

A phobia is an intense, unrealistic fear, which can interfere with the ability to socialize, work, or go about everyday life, that is brought on by an object, event or situation.
A lot of people just have fears of things, rather than full-blown phobias.

I'm scared of dogs, and I'm incredibly scared of water deeper than my waist, which also leads to an intense dislike of boats and water vehicles.

My fear is that religion is right, and I'm going to burn for eternity for not believing.

Asamin 2008-10-25 07:44 AM

Nice, my arm still hurts from the shots. Damn it, I have to go back in a month to do it all again.

Jessifer 2008-10-25 09:14 AM

I don't have any phobia's to my knowledge.

And I'll meet you in Hell, Syg. <3

TERRIFIED!! Of spiders in real life. I woke up once to a spider in the shower.. It was winter and I was nekkid, pulled bakc the shower curtain and saw the damn thing. It scared be 1/2 to death I was completely frozen in fear. The only thing I knew to do was try and put some water on it to flush it down the drain. Little did I realize how much my eyes would be trained on the drain while showering... zomg what a scary day.

Asamin 2008-10-25 10:47 AM

Lol, I can barely use my left arm now. it can't even really move up or down without hurting.

Snakes scare the absolute shit out of me and im sure that I have been terrified of them since i was young. Just last year, at a local US Open golf qualifier, i hooked my ball into some brush near the water and i went down to take a look for it. I pulled back the brush to find a snake slither away and i nearly passed out. I remember i swung at the ball and then ran, really dont remember the rest of the hole.

Hey, Hell is where the party is going to be at. I'd rather been in hell than in heaven with the pansies.

Unfortunately, most Christians will be in hell right along with us.

Jessifer 2008-10-26 10:57 AM

My cousin has a phobia of Midgets. Seriously.

PureRebel 2008-10-30 06:44 PM

i dont really have any phobias in general, although a friend of mine is afraid of large bodies of water, whenever we're driving around, he freaks out even if he sees the stuff, last summer we went to the city and he broke down and didnt say anything for the whole day when he realised how close we were to the beach.

That's kind of funny yet sad. There is a bridge nearby with a steel lattice grate structure for a walkway, so you can of course see the 80 foot descent into the gorge below. It still makes me walk a little funny when I cross it.

Asamin 2008-10-30 06:50 PM

That must have been awkward.

HandOfHeaven 2008-10-31 01:40 AM

Whiskeydickphobia.

Sovereign 2008-10-31 06:47 AM

Spiders and flying. I'm pretty ok with heights as long as its somewhat below 500 feet. Riding top thrill dragster at cedar point helped me with my fear of heights quite a bit.

PureRebel 2008-11-01 01:50 AM

i got over my fear of heights after going on the giant drop at one of the theme parks here. i'd say its around a 100m drop and i passed out each time on the way down hahaha.
