What I am getting for my birthday
 

My mom asked me what I would want for my birthday, as she always does, and I thought. After a while, I realized that I only have one Xbox 360 Conroller and am constantly borrowing one from my neighbor when I have friends over. So I went to get a link to a controller so my mom could get it or give the link to someone else and they could get it, when I found the coolest controller ever. When I found it, Amazon had one left in stock and my mom wan't home yet. SO I called her up and asked about it and she let me buy the controller. Here it is:

Turns out she got me it because I played in a fiddle contest and did really well. I didn't mess up or anything, it was perfect. But..... I didn't place. Damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was her way of showing that I did well enough to deserve something. I should soon be making a youtube account and uploading the vid of my fiddle set. It is most likely bad quality but I will post it here once I have uploaded it.

Like, go buy a cheapy controller. Take it to an artist, tell him what you want on it and vwahlah.

But, my mom is buying it, not me. She said I that she would have gotten me anything up to the amount of money I would have won had there not been a corrupt judge. That was $100.

This is from an E-mail sent to me by my teacher:
I didn't get a chance to talk to you before you left. Miles was a solid
Fourth place. One of the judges placed him Third. All of the judges
complimented his performance. He played exactly as I hoped he would. His
performance was powerful and moving. When you are analyzing the top four
spots, all of the students put in very good performances. It comes down to a
personal preference. I didn't agree with James landing where he did, but I
have to let the judges do their job. Personally, I would have placed Miles
second or third. In my book, he was. He finally conquered his nerves and put
in a great performance. At the end of the day, it counts more what he
thinks. And the audience loved him! I was SO proud of him!

That E-mail doesn't seem to be directed at you, more as the teacher was E-mailing someone else about you.
