Using other keys?
 

Is it possible to have an event that does one thing if you press the enter key, but does another when pressing another key?

For instance, if you want to play a minigame with someone, press the "m" button to ask them to play, while pressing enter still talks to them.

Or to group people, press "g" to ask them to group with you.

Possible using passwords, something else, or not at all?

This is probably what you're looking for even though I haven't tried it.

I highly advise against using addon's and patches.

You could seriously screw up your computer and/or RPGMaker.

Dude, I've made patches/addons before. You should only be against it if it hasn't been properly tested or is by a newbie.

I made a patch for RMVX English version to allow Japanese Characters.

I was just throwing that out there as a precaution. That patch wasn't made by you so you don't know what's in it.

Plus, patching software which is already illegal in the first place doesn't seem like a good idea. My advice, work with the limitations you have or upgrade to XP/VX. They come with the ability to use any button.

rpg maker vx is better than rpg maker xp, because it is the upgrade of rpg maker xp.

I got a question? okay I am having a hard time in rpg maker vx. How do I make a sprite change scroll in rpg maker vx. Please help me with it. Step by step. I already know the first part to make the scroll in the item part, but I cant get the other part right with the common event part of it, so to get the character to change sprites like for the classes. I am making a game where you buy the sprite change scrolls in the shops in the towns in my game. Please any help would be fine. pms are welcome!!!

yup no problem. My rpg maker vx was patched and worked find and all in english. Where i got the patch was helpful. I didn't have a virus or anything. I also found a keygen that worked too. People on youtube was greatful for showing on how to do it properly. But they didn't say step by step in speaking in the video though but images helpped for finding the keygen. Some people are smart doing programs and translation the jap programs to english. I was greatful for them of doing it for us in the US.

I was translating the game. I translated a good 70%. I didn't translate part of the RGSS2, which is why I say only 70%.

By the way, you do know that a Key generator is illegal right? You should buy it if you have money.

if it wasn't legal then why people put it online on a website for people to download it in the first place. If it was illegal then someone should shut down the website that has it. here i will give exaples like bearshare,torrent. which are sharefile programs.

Which are illegal Adventure. Just because it is not a website doesn't make it legal. Limewire is illegal if used to download music and other copyrighted material.
