Chatbox Success?
 

Well basically i'm wanting to get the input of everybody on our boards.


Was the Shout/Chatbox a success for the most part? There was some controversy about it to begin with, even some mentioning that it would kill activity, and I disagree. From what i've seen so far has only been a spike in activity, now I don't have the numbers readily available, but the chatbox is constantly active, almost every hour there is atleast one update, which I feel is pretty good, and during the week it's pretty active, as well as weekends.

I was one of the naysayers about the chatbox, however I must admit I was wrong. I now think that the chatbox has been exceptionally successful, and contrary to quelling activity as I originally thought, there seems to be an influx of activity as of late.

Another who thinks it a success. Though it's taken everything away from the IRC channel... then again, that was mostly dead, except for a couple of instances where a few people logged in.

Well, the chatbox has died down. There was a time when there really was convo going on every daylight hour during the week, now not so much.

There still is some though. It is a nice place to find help without having to make a new thread that will get like 1 reply.

I like it. I never knew Zelaron without a chatbox and I can't imagine this place without it.

I don't use it much, but I do like having it there.

The chatbox is doubtlessly a success. Google seems to index the chatbox logs too, which is a good thing, although they should be available in archive-esque formatting as well.

I actually like reading the conversations.

They can be quite interesting.

I'm delighted to hear that everybody does think this is a good idea!

Hopefully more enjoyable and almost exciting featuers can be implemented into Zelaron in the future :)
